Our hydrogeologists are specialised in groundwater and its impact on the subsurface environment. They have experience in open pit, underground, mine inflow control, dewatering, abstraction, impact assessments and depressurization. They work at all project stages; from pre-feasibility studies to greenfields and active mine site management.
Our modelling team has undertaken all aspects of groundwater modelling. They have experience at all stages of development from Pre-Feasibility to Detailed Design. The team has delivered large regional models with complex ground, surface and plant water interaction, through to mine-scale evaluation of depressurisation and pore-pressure.
Our team undertakes planning, risk assessments and environmental studies of surface water flow systems. This will include investigations into rainfall, flow and flood analyses that may impact the site of operations. Their focus is on compiling, synthesising and analysing data to develop accurate 1D-2D surface water models and water balance models.
Our engineers have extensive experience in consulting with the mining sector on engineering design projects for pit dewatering, water supply, water management and flood protection. They have undertaken all aspects of design ranging from large, whole mine site water supply and dewatering, to smaller camp water supply systems.

AQ2 makes internship positions available at certain times to provide practical experience to talented undergrads. As an intern, you will work on key mining water management projects, providing hands-on exposure to all aspects of project delivery, including design, estimating, cost planning, tenders, negotiation and post-contract.
